Russian Intelligence Infiltration of English Language Alt-Media

Introduction

In August of 2020, the U.S. State Department put out a report exposing the “Pillars of Russia’s Disinformation Ecosystem”.

The report was a minimum effort for the world’s remaining superpower. The report was produced by the Global Engagement Center (GEC) which is part of the State Department (a group that Elon Musk just happened to have suggested we should abolish). Their mission statement reads:

To direct, lead, synchronize, integrate, and coordinate U.S. Federal Government efforts to recognize, understand, expose, and counter foreign state and non-state propaganda and disinformation efforts aimed at undermining or influencing the policies, security, or stability of the United States, its allies, and partner nations.

I said the report is a minimum effort, not because I think the report isn’t useful; I say it, because information warfare is one of the primary means which Russia and our foreign adversaries conduct offensive operations against the United States (before, during and after kinetic actions come into play). “The information environment is decisive terrain for modern combat” says the Modern War Institute at West Point.

If the United States took information warfare seriously, we would have ten times or one-hundred times as many reports as these; if this country took information warfare seriously, we would have mapped out everyone connected to foreign tasked disinformation outlets in giant ecosystems webs; if this country took information warfare seriously, we would be shutting down foreign operations against us that operate in the United States and other countries like Canada.

Instead, American tax dollars produced the Aug 2020 report that provided a nice little foundation to map out a small segment of a massive foreign intelligence tasked ecosystem, and there appears to have been little to no follow through on the report (in an effort to defend the minds of civilians in our country and NATO countries).

This is expected if you read the unofficial history of the CIA, FBI and certain communist defector literature like that of Anatoliy Golitsyn.

When you do read some of this literature, you realize the U.S. intelligence agencies and the U.S. government were compromised decades ago and remain compromised. There are enemies within.

Frankly, I am surprised the State Department report even made it to publication. That said, my task here is to publish what our intelligence community or the GEC should have published along with the report or as a natural follow up. Or, rather, a portion of what they should have published, because what I’ve done here needs to be expanded multiple times over, but my time and resources are that of just one person and not a government agency.

What I am talking about is that the State Department report primarily identified a handful of news and media organizations with relationships to Russia’s intelligence agencies. What the report fails to do is map out where the authors of these foreign intelligence tasked media organizations are getting published and republished. I have done this specifically with some of the authors from the Strategic Culture Foundation (SCF), as well as a selection of authors I believe are pro-Russia and likely candidates for being tasked by Russian intelligence directly or through front groups and a third segment of authors I have identified as being a shared pool between GlobalResearch.ca and Natural News, both of which we will discuss in this article.

Before jumping into the results of what I found, I think it would be helpful if we better understand the threat we face. What I am going to say in the next few lines requires an in-depth article to fully explain and make the case; however, I’ll say a few things about it here, that is, the subject of the collapse of the Soviet Union being planned by the communists; however, as with any plan, it didn’t go exactly according to how they planned things. It’s necessary to address this, because we got people in the center and right of center in the United States and West thinking Putin and Russia are not communists and thinking perhaps they are Christians and nationalists or anti-New World Order out to save us from likes of Klaus Schwab and the Great Reset. This camp of people is represented by individuals like Jacob Creech (alias Clandestine) who is promoted by LtG Flynn and suggests Russia and China might be the good guys and are fighting the New World Order. Connected to Flynn are ecosystems of similar minded individuals such as Alex Jones and Steve Bannon both of whom represent a good chunk of the alternative media that is pro-Trump. Also Michael Raphael Johnson coming from the Christian perspective saying Russia is the restrainer against the anti-Christ is representative of some of the traditionalist circles which connect to people like Alexander Dugin or Jay Dyer (Dyer does not claim to be a traditionalist as far as I know but is an Byzantine/Orthodox Christian last time I checked).
